[9/1/13] Weekly Mental Health Discussion Group
Categories: General

We are a community; we support each other. The world we live in gives us a lot of reasons to hate and destroy ourselves, but we are too important. We sometimes do things we wish we didn’t have to in order to cope; that’s okay, we will keep trying. Some of us are addicts, survivors, diagnosed or not, depressed, anxious, having a hard time. We are artists, activists, people who give a shit. Some of us are hard as nails. We come together and talk about it (whatever it happens to be) because we know that we are stronger and healthier when we share our experiences than when we are isolated and silenced by stigma.

All are welcome to this weekly meeting to discuss their/our experiences with open hearts and minds. This meeting is a non-judgmental sober space. Discriminatory language and invalidation of other’s identities will not be tolerated. Please arrive on time, as the door will be locked at 12:10 to minimize disruption.

More discussion of “how-this-works” will happen at the first meeting. Thank you so much for your support and participation.
